The Project Coordinator will plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and parameters.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and aids in developing project proposal or plan to determine time frame limitations, procedures for accomplishing project and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Established and maintains relationships with supporting departments; Participate in the project proposal process to ensure scope is properly defined and ensure that the project team has a clear understanding of scope, schedule and goals.
- Confers with project staff to outline work-plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority. Establishes work plan for each phase of projects. Provides a single point of accountability through the organization on projects.
- Track project against its schedule, budget (when necessary) and define qualitative and quantitative goals.
- Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables and coordinate project activity and communication.
- Review objectives, reporting status to management/sponsor on a regular basis. Escalate issues to management as necessary.
- Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences.
- Utilize project management methodologies, systems and tools as defined by scope, size, budget and complexity of projects.
- Identify project scope changes and prepares job change notices.
- Create how-to guides, instruction manuals and document policy and procedures.
- Use and grow content expertise to contribute to deliverables.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, plus 1-3 years relevant work experience; healthcare experience preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Superior communication skills both verbally and written with management, project team and internal stakeholders
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, initiative and organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software
